Bulls Sweep Pacers, According to Ben.

(1)    CHICAGO BULLS (62-20) VS. (8) INDIANA PACERS  (37-45)

The Bulls come in as the heavy favorite, and with good reason.  They handled the season series against Indy 3-1, with MVP favorite Derrick Rose averaging 27 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7 assists in those 4 games, including a 42 point explosion back on March 18th, a game that saw him get to the free throw line 21 times.  Expect Rose to keep his foot on the throttle, as Indy guards Darren Collison, TJ Ford, and other assorted bums will simply watch him get whatever he wants, whenever he wants.  The Pacers do have one thing working for them, and that is a lot of big bodies to throw at the Bulls frontcourt of Luol Deng, a hairy-chest no more Carlos Boozer, and everyone’s favorite ponytail-sporter Joakim Noah.  Indy has plenty of fouls to dish out with bigs Roy Hibbert (molding into a solid center after averaging 13 and 8 with 2 blocks),and the whitewash of Tyler Hansbrough, Josh McRoberts, and Jeff Foster, but they’ll need a big offensive series from their franchise player, Danny Granger, if they want to pull of the huge upset.  Granger’s scoring is down this year, but he’s capable of putting up big games if his shot is falling, especially from 3-land.  Expect Deng (a lockdown defender) to draw the matchup against Granger.  In the end, I just don’t see Indy posing much of a threat.  Rumor is that the Pacer fans, who recently got wind of Rose admitting he’s terrified of clowns, will be decked out in clown attire for Games 3 and 4, but that shouldn’t shut down the Bulls attack.  I say the Bulls sweep the Pacers in 4.  I ain’t clownin’ around.
